Patient-first care, built on dignity and outcomes.

From a solo practice to a team of tri-speciality nurses. We put patient’s clinical needs first and empower them to live life to the fullest.

It started with a vision for better care.

Founded in 2001 by Dee Waugh, DWSS began with a refusal to accept the status quo. Dee noticed that patients were being fitted with products based on what was available, not what was best.

Dee founded the practice on a simple rule: The Fingerprint Rule. Just as every fingerprint is unique, every person is unique and every stoma is different. A “standard” solution is often a leaking solution. By remaining independent of suppliers, we retained the freedom to mix, match, and tailor solutions until they work perfectly for you.

Our values

Independence

We advocate for you. Our recommendations are never influenced by supplier incentives.

Ingenuity

Complex stomas require creative solutions. We are committed to find the fix that is often missed.

Empowerment

We don’t create dependency. We give you the skills to manage your care with confidence.

Holistic Care

We see the person, not just the stoma. We support your return to work, sport, relationships and intimacy.
